Dare To Dream is a new series of documentary films about the hopes and frustrations of the young generation of Asia. Directed by upcoming and talented filmmakers, aimed for local audiences, with the support of the best professionals in the world, Dare To Dream takes you into the vibrant dreams and realities of Asian youth – the future of the planet’s most populated region. Across Asia, 750 million young people are searching for possibilities – education, work – and the meaning of life.
Nine films from Bhutan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam have been selected for production following an intensive selection and development process. The films will go inside Muslim schools, follow young activists in underground movements, question traditions and limitations, and tell personal stories of becoming adults. Dare To Dream Asia is created by Steps in partnership with In-Docs from Indonesia.
